Business Function
The regional Support Units, Platforms, Operations and Technology finance team (SPOT) team manages annual expense base of ~S$3 billion. This team covers all of the Groups’ support units (Technology, Operations, Corporate Real Estate, Risk Management, Finance, Audit, Legal, Compliance and Secretariat, Group Research, Group Strategic Marketing & Communications, Research & Human Resources) and is critical in helping to drive and manage the Groups’ strategy, digitization and transformation agenda through a strong controllership function.
This team is at the core of the Groups’ transformation agenda to help make DBS the Best Bank for a Better World #B3W through supporting shift in the way we work, building agility in our business processes and platform construct.
The transformation of our customer and employee journeys as well as how we deliver them is being driven through a number of complex, inter-dependent programs. Essential to success of these complex programs is strong financial management through flawless delivery, sound thought leadership and deep business partnering across a range of senior DBS stakeholders.
The work involves the management of financial controllership and MIS delivery functions for our Technology and Platforms and at the same time develop and deliver successful outcomes for the various transformation programs. We are looking for very capable and highly motivated leaders to join the team and help drive these outcomes
Responsibilities
Partnering across our Technology platforms, you will drive day to day operational and financial responsibilities of this portfolio through a Finance team, in ensuring the fundamentals are in order, including but not limited to financial processes, governance, risks and controls. You will also be a key stakeholder in helping drive the transformation of Technology business processes.
You will be heavily involved in business partnering with Technology senior management, especially in areas of overall strategy & transformation, and the execution of viable plans in achieving the organizational goals.
You will also be responsible to drive Technolgy strategic priorities and scorecard; KPIs formation, defining and standardizing KPIs, monitoring and review with Technology Executive Team.
The Successful Applicant will be someone who meets the following requirements:
- At least 15 years of experience in banking technology finance including proven track record in leadership and senior management roles
1. Functional / technical competencies:
- The ideal candidate should be CA/CPA/ACCA qualified and holding an MBA is advantageous.
- Industry exposure or tertiary qualification in project investment management, AGILE delivery, Journey and design thinking are essential.
- Knowledge of products, processes, technology systems, and finance databases
- Solid business acumen with deep expertise in managing financial processes and controllership teams including financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and project investment management/ prioritisation.
- Deeply data driven with the ability to work with large data sets
- Operationally hands-on, with a strategic mindset
- Thrives on working in a fast-paced environment with transformation at the centre
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint
