We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Automation Technical Lead to lead our testing efforts and drive the automation strategy for our organization. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the roll-out automated testing frameworks and tools to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. You will

collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, and product management, to define test automation objectives, prioritize testing efforts, and drive continuous improvement.


  • As a QA Automation Technical Lead at Ascenda, you will:
  • Develop and drive an automation test strategy and roadmap that aligns with
  • organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated testing frameworks, tools, and scripts.
  • Define and enforce automation best practices, coding standards, and guidelines for the testing team.
  • Collaborate with development and quality assurance teams to identify and prioritize test cases for automation.
  • Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to define testing requirements and ensure timely delivery of automated test suites.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate new testing tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance the automation infrastructure.
  • Manage and mentor a team of automation testers, providing technical guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Build up and develop the Automation team’s growth on skills development as well as defining hiring strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in test automation.


Job requirements

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in automation testing, including designing and implementing automation frameworks.
  • Leadership and people management experience, and have built and scaled up QA automation teams in previous roles.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Solid understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) principles and tools.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Ruby, Java, Python, or Golang, and experience with test automation frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Appium, or Robot Framework.
  • Excellent analytical and problem- solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
