With increasing demand and new business ventures, they are currently looking for a Head of Procurement to be an integral part of their business to assist and continue to improve the Value Chain.
Job Description
Your major responsibilities will involve managing all Direct categories in your portfolio mainly within the technology and manufacturing space. This is a strategic leadership and management position with a global portfolio.
Your other responsibilities include:
- Develop a high performing team within the Procurement function
- Full strategic responsibility of Technology and Manufacturing spends across all Direct categories
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders in R&D, Product Development, Operations and Finance as a basis for setting the right strategic Procurement directions
- Responsible to create and maintain long term commodity strategies based on product requirements and technology roadmaps
- Accountable for delivering both cost reduction and budget efficiency in line with functional targets
- Build and maintain strong collaboration with the Upstream and Downsteam Procurement teams to optimise best cost-performance decisions
- Manage supplier relationships and effectively drive a collaborative partnership.
The Successful Applicant
You should possess a degree in Engineering (any field) and you must have a significant years of experience in Strategic Procurement in Technology and Manufacturing as well as people management. You should also be strong with analytics as well as be sensitive to trends. Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work in a fast paced and collaborative environment is essential.
