JOB DESCRIPTION
- Underwrite new business and Service existing business through various intermediary channels (Brokers, Banca-Commercial) to achieve sustainable and profitable growth
- Review renewals and follow up on all renewal policies to secure profitable renewal business and maintain high renewal retention
- Implement and coordinate marketing projects and initiatives to achieve targets
- Assist HOD/Line Manager in all business development activities
- Assist in preparing statistics and reports
- Regular visitations to intermediaries to build good rapport and identify new business opportunities
- Coordinate with internal departments on documentation, claims, finance, IT and underwriting related issues
EDUCATION / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Mandatory: Certification in General Insurance (CGI) and Health Insurance (HI)
- Diploma holder in any discipline or equivalent
EXPERIENCE & ANY SPECIFIC SKILLS SET REQUIRED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in underwriting and servicing commercial lines products e.g. Property, Liability, WIC, etc
- Positive and service-oriented attitude; Good negotiation skills
- Able to work independently and be a good team player
