Diversity and Inclusion Director, APAC

As a highly knowledgeable subject matter expert you’ll work with key stakeholders across the Asia Pacific (APAC) senior leadership team and APAC Chief Human Resource Officer to support, develop and execute the APAC Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy, messaging, and programs in alignment with People Strategy and the Global DEI Strategy.

Reporting directly to the Global DEI head and as an active member of the Global DEI community, you will contribute the APAC perspective to the global strategy design and implementation. You will be a thought leader for DEI staying informed of best practices, benchmarks, research and competitor activity. Internally, you will consult, coach and work with the APAC leadership team, APAC Inclusion/business/DEI groups, and other HR colleagues as lead of DEI subject matter experts within the market teams to build an inclusive and diverse culture and workforce while supporting the hiring, developing, and retaining of diverse talent.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and execute the global diversity and inclusion strategy for APAC
  • Develop deep relationships with key stakeholders (Leaders, HR, DEI Community) across the region and business lines, working with them to equip them to address Diversity & Inclusion challenges specific to their teams
  • Track diversity metrics providing regular updates to senior stakeholders within the APAC region highlighting progress and where action must be taken
  • In collaboration with L&D, design and implement and D&I learning program for leaders, managers, employees, including deliver the existing Women in Leadership program
  • Coach the APAC DEI leads & community to represent JLL within their local community or industry partners, peers, and clients Develops and delivers initiatives, education and awareness programs that promote a diverse and inclusive culture, and drives cultural change, including an coordinating a APAC wide DEI awareness month with the APAC DEI community
  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure D&I is embedded in all areas of the employee experience and to ensure policies and benefits are equitable and inclusionary
  • Scale initiatives to be leveraged across APAC region and globe where applicable
  • Manage and engage with key APAC external stakeholders e.g. clients, membership organization

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience of operating effectively and successfully leading DEI change in a large, complex, and matrixed global organization within Asia Pacific
  • A strong influencer and leader with a track record of implementing a strategy, working with others to achieve objectives through their teams
  • Understanding and awareness of legislation, diversity & inclusion challenges, and best practice in different geographies, as well as the cultural and social nuances between different countries and regions
  • Relevant D&I experience in and knowledgeable in D&I best practice and trends
  • A highly strategic operator formulating and executing company-level strategic and operational goals, exercising influence through others, and driving cross-functional teams with a track record in fast-paced, high-energy environments
  • Highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals, and to lead and facilitate committees and numerous meetings
  • Excellent stakeholder prioritization and stakeholder engagement skills with the willingness and ability to engage and enthuse staff at all levels of a business
  • Strategic mind-set: outcome focused; creative, a natural problem solver
  • Tenacity, drive to succeed, can do attitude with ability to use creativity and initiative to ensure the delivery of a stretching strategy
  • Enthusiastic and self-driven; flexible and collaborative, with good team-working skills across global timezones
  • A strong attention to detail and accuracy in analytical work, in particular diversity data
  • Excellent project management skills and the proven ability to work to tight deadlines and to manage conflicting stakeholder priorities
  • Strong capability to manage and extract best in class outcomes from external vendors
  • Ability to manage APAC inclusion and diversity budget
  • Role model being an inclusive people leader with the ability to upskill other managers and senior leaders
  • Acumen in technology; proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Workday and social media
