  • Efficient operation of the purchasing function of the company.
  • Handle vendor disqualification activities.
  • Cost (ability to analyse, estimate, understand and challenge the cost breakdown with proposal to optimize the cost)
  • Contract negotiation with vendors and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Manage and maintain purchasing/ inventory database.
  • Souring and co-ordinating qualification activities for new vendors.
  • Building Strong supplier relationship
  • Ability to build strong rapport with supplier top management
  • Experience in dealing with suppliers from different geography (China, India, EAJP and Europe) and dealing complex issues
  • Finalization of detailed purchase orders and contracts.
  • Take charges of supplier management including quality systems and business management.
  • Maintain approval vendor list.
  • Keep good control of productivity, payment, and other KPIs
  • Support other stakeholders to achieve their KPIs
  • Prepare & present Monthly and Quarterly performance and propose gap closure actions
  • Managing performance review with team
  • Resourceful and good in problem resolution to support Quality and s/chain issues
  • Agile with strong leadership in engaging various stakeholders in quick problem resolution.
  • Experience in leading crisis management
  • Be analytic on current processes pain points and propose of improvement leveraging digitization tools

Requirements

  • Min Diploma/ Bachelor in Purchasing/ Supply Chain, Engineering discipline
  • Proven track record in supplier negotiation and drive cost reduction through various levers
  • Good experience in proposing ideas to drive technical productivity
  • Good understanding of market players in different category with ability to source and propose cost saving through Change of suppliers
  • Build relationship and collaborate with internal teams and with stakeholders
  • Work in Fast paced environment
  • At least 8-12 years of relevant Purchasing experience with strong technical knowledge
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a People Manager/Team Lead function
  • Proficient in MS Excel with strong analytics skills and PowerPoint
