Job Description
The Electromechanical Specialist reports directly to the Service Manager and has responsibilities for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the woodworking machines for customers.
Responsibilities
- Technical after Sales support to external, but also internal customers as required by the Company.
- Carry on site work as requested such as:Supervision of machinery installation and commissioning, execute customer training.
After sales service tasks like maintenance and troubleshooting, customer trainings,
Upgrading projects of existing production lines
- Respond to on-call and emergency support cases remotely or visiting customer sites.
- Support the sales teams on technical matters.
- Coordinate service and capex delivery projects between Company’s delivery units and customers
- Participate in FAT testing as needed.
- Participate in product and service product development.
- Support spare part and maintenance sales as well as coordinate service work planning and scheduling.
- Keep active communication with customers.
- Follow safety rules and practices set by the company, in general, but also the site rules set by the customer.
- Perform all duties assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree from Electrical or Mechatronic Engineer background
- Hands-on experience in installation and troubleshooting industrial machinery with PLC/PC controls and adjustable-speed drives.
- Knowledge in PLC and PC based control systems: Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, Omron, etc. is an advantage.
- A proven track record in mechanical engineering in plywood or other wood processing industries would be an advantage.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, CAD, or similar application experience
- Willingness to travel globally
