The Role
South East Asia Residential Cross Border Development Director
To act as a point contact between UK and Savills teams across South East Asia focusing on real estate transactions into the UK. To drive growth across the region acting as the key contact for the Savills UK business in Singapore.
Key Activities
Residential Development Sales
· Work across the SEA business teams to drive growth and align activity across the region.
· Oversee and implement regional strategy for growth and marketing.
· Assist with launch exhibitions & international sales campaigns in a consultancy capacity.
· Actively improve relationships with; banks, solicitors, brokers, private offices & 3rd party agents.
· Help grow regional database through marketing activity.
· Drive growth for wider South East Asia growth countries including but not limited to; Malaysia, Thailand & Vietnam.
Global Residential
· Strengthen Global Residential in offering of Savills business working closely with colleagues across Europe to educate SEA market on Savills global residential development projects .
· Assist in the forming of new associates within the region and be point of contact for the regional global residential strategy.
· Work alongside Private Office to ensure buyers are being tracked globally and stock presented within the region.
· Grow Savills Private Office network across the region though relationships with UHNWIs, private banks & brokers within the market.
Residential Land
· Focus on Residential, Development & Land for Asia based clients in the region investing in London, working alongside the land team and the Global Cross Border team.
· Liaise with existing stakeholders to ensure a joined up approach to client management and the presentation of opportunities.
· Pro-active business development to source new clients within the region. Targeting family offices, multifamily, institutional & private developer clients.
· Attend and present cross sector presentations for local clients.
· Act as a regional point of contact for Savills UK to Asia for Residential.
· Assist UK teams with pitching & executing international residential campaigns.
Global Cross Border
The role will include close liaison with the Global Cross Border team, in particular: Savills China, Hong Kong, Australian and Singapore Border contacts who may be looking to invest offshore. Enquiries regarding investing into the UK commercial markets (London and UK regions) will be directed to the UK team.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
· Expert knowledge of UK market having worked in the UK previously for a minimum of 8 years.
· Established & strong relationships with commercial clients based overseas operating in the UK.
· Established real estate developer client base in the UK.
· Expert in UK residential development sales & local sales market.
· Experience with cross sector clients across South East Asia including Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur & Singapore .
· Established contact base of brokers, lawyers and advisors in the UK.
· An effective “team player” & motivator.
· Entrepreneurial and driven.
REQUIREMENTS
· Real Estate accredited degree
· Excellent IT, problem solving, analytical, negotiation, interpersonal and managerial skills
· Highly proficient in IT– Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and databases
· In depth understanding the residential development process from start to finish. Experience and understanding of UK planning, finance, valuation & sales
· Expertise with Client Relationship Management systems
· Full understanding of global residential marketing strategy implementation.
· Experience in buy side advice for land, investment and funding for projects in London.
· Working knowledge of commercial, retail, industrial & property management in the UK.
