Role Summary:
This role is responsible for building the new HR operating engine for Prudential. This role is part of the HR Optimized function. which is building all horizontal capabilities such as Process Excellence, HR Technology, Reporting & Analytics, Engagement & Governance and Operations & Shared services.
The Director of Process Excellence is responsible for leading the practice to
· Simplify: Build new and reengineer existing processes
· Standardize: Create processes with global standards with LBU customization
· Digitalize: Move processes away from manual to digital in scaled hubs
This would require creating strategy, driving change management with stakeholders across all group and local business units and building tech enabled lean processes for key people processes to improve employee experience and engagement. This role will also drive innovation and best practices in process design and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the service design function for Prudential HR, which includes user journey mapping, process design, process documentation, project management, and change management.
· Manage and mentor a team of process specialists/service design consultants providing feedback, coaching, and training.
· Reduce the workload on all stakeholders involved by using benchmarking and industry standard HR processes and tailoring it only where necessary based on harmonized principles.
· Onboard the latest technology to map process automatically and convert that into business requirements in partnership with other HR COEs.
· Act as an Incubation function, benchmarking our HR Processes across the latest innovations in the market and deploy the learning in our ecosystem.
· Lead the Project portfolio prioritization for process improvement opportunities and solutions.
· Establish and monitor key performance indicators and metrics for process excellence, and report on the progress and impact of process improvement initiatives.
· Communicate and engage with senior stakeholders across the organization HR COEs, Risk, Local Business Units, IT and ensure alignment and buy-in for process excellence projects and outcomes.
· Stay updated on the latest trends, innovations and best practices in HR process excellence, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Skills & Requirements
· A bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, such as business administration, management, engineering, or human resources
· At least 10 years of experience in process excellence, service design, or process improvement, preferably in the HR domain
· Certification in process excellence methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma, TOC, or BPM
· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across the organization
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to use data and technology to drive process innovation and improvement
· Strong project management, change management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced, highly matrixed and federated environment.
