School of Sports, Health and Leisure – Project Staff (“IntelliCARE: Empowering Seniors with AI-Driven Personalised Assistance”)
The School of Sports, Health, and Leisure, a frontrunner in sports, health, and leisure education, is inviting applications to join its dedicated and innovative team for a cutting-edge project.
This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of IntelliCARE, a smart application designed to support aging in place for seniors in SIngapore.
The project leverages IoT, machine learning, and wearable technologies to monitor and assist seniors with their health and wellness, focusing on fall risk, baseline fitness, stress, fatigue, and health monitoring.
[What you will be working on]
The successful candidate will be instrumental in:
- Designing and developing machine learning models to accurately analyze data collected from wearables and IoT devices, focusing on gait parameters, fitness assessments, stress detection, fatigue monitoring, and health indicators like spO2 and heart rate variability.
- Collaborating with the project team on research data collection, analysis, and the administration of the project's technological aspects.
- Contributing to the development of the user experience (UX) of the IntelliCARE system, ensuring it delivers actionable insights and recommendations to seniors and caregivers.
- Assisting in the preparation of project reports and documentation.
- Managing ad-hoc research activities and assignments related to the project's goals.
The successful candidate will be placed on a 24-month contract.
[What we are looking for]
Applicants should possess the following:
· Relevant qualifications, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in research project management, particularly in areas related to data science, machine learning, and/or computer vision.
· Strong analytical skills with a proven track record in applying data science and machine learning techniques to real-world problems, especially those associated with human performance and health monitoring.
· Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to forge effective working relationships with team members, management, and stakeholders.
· Robust planning and organizational skills, with a commitment to meeting project deadlines and objectives.
· A hands-on approach to problem-solving and the ability to operate across various levels of the project team.
· Proficiency in digital design and data science applications relevant to the project’s technical requirements.
