Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, including quantum engineers and security specialists working on wired infrastructure projects.
- Guide the team’s focus on architecting, designing and development of wired infrastructure systems, including quantum and security aspects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategic goals, strategy, development plans and capability built up for wired communications technology development in Singapore.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, researchers, and industry partners to design and develop advanced and emerging wired communications technologies, including Quantum Internet infrastructure and Quantum Key Distribution Infrastructure.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in wired communication technologies.
- Prepare technology think pieces, technical documentation and present project updates to stakeholders.
- Provide mentorship, professional development opportunities, and support to team members.
- Collaborate with whole of government teams, industry, and academic partners to develop strategies on emerging communications technologies.
- Work in a cross-functional teams to develop strategy, implementation design and plan for nationwide communications infrastructure solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- At least 7 years of experience in advance wired communication projects, with a focus on quantum and security technologies is preferred.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing technical teams.
- Solid understanding of wired communication networks, quantum networking, and security principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with programme management tools and methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- An avid learner on new and emerging technologies.
Position will be commensurate with experience.
