Dow has an opening for Logistics Specialist based in Singapore taking care of the Vendor Management of Logistics Service Providers of Road Transportation & Warehouse mainly for Singapore and Malaysia. The main responsibilities are listed as below:
Responsibilities
- Manage 3rd party logistics vendor (3PL, external – warehouse or transporter) in Singapore/Malaysia to achieve operation excellence and targets for Dow
- Lead and participate in advanced troubleshooting for systems, processes and order fulfillment
- Provide coaching and leadership to stakeholders and 3PL on project implementations and best practices
- Interact with other Dow (global) regions to resolve order issues for inter-area shipments
- Implement and apply most effective technologies and operating discipline requirements with stakeholders and 3PL
- Manage 3PL to ensure contractual obligations and service levels are met
- Develop and initiate changes to SOP (operating procedures) to ensure that they are valid and up-to-date
- Conduct regular audit and performance review on 3PL sites and processes
- Understand and apply new concepts, innovations and technologies to operations and 3PL within assigned business scopes
- Lead and ensure timely closure to complaint investigations, with identification of CAPA (Corrective and Preventative measures)
- Lead and conduct RCI (Root Cause Investigation) with 3PL and stakeholders to resolve product and/or service quality issues
- Support procurement tender negotiation and implementation with operational expertise
- Valid invoice from 3PL to ensure Dow pay logistics venders rightly
- Support and implement ESG (Environment, Social Responsibility, Governance) and Sustainability initiatives with suppliers and 3PL
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in supply chain or logistics area or chemical related major or engineering
- Has experience related to logistics operations/supply chain and technical knowhows, 1-5 years of working experience in logistics/supply chain
- Vendor Management, Logical Thinking and Problem Solving Skill and Open Mind for new technology and changes
- Capability to working in purely English environment
Preferred Skills
- Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) is a plus
- 3PL working experience is a plus
