The primary purpose of this role is to be a credible business partner to the Singapore business leadership team in building and implementing effective people solutions to deliver business growth in addition be manage local external HR interface with key stake holders in Singapore. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and implement a people strategy that is aligned with business’ objectives and focused on creating a competitive advantage for Pfizer by building a productive, agile and high performing workforce
- Lead the strategic thinking on designing a talent strategy with the aim of attracting, and retaining high potential talent and developing a strong leadership pipeline for critical roles for the business.
- Work with leaders on the design and delivery of employee development plans with a focus on building skills and capabilities both for the present and the future
- Be a trusted counsel to business leaders in the market on people and organizational matters. Coach and guide leaders to enhance their leadership capabilities and support them in creating winning teams. Lead by example to drive synergy and collaboration between different leadership styles
- Partner with the business leadership team in implementing key change management strategies, including building future ready organizational designs and workforce optimization plans in consultation with internal stakeholders and the Cluster Head People Experience.
- Use employee metrics, market trends to determine the efficacy of Talent strategy and processes and apply insights to re-engineer existing processes and/or build effective solutions for dynamic business needs.
- Ensure compliance with local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipate and mitigate potential risks; enforce adherence to requirements; ensure procedural fairness in employee relations matters and advise business leaders/managers on remediation actions when required.
- Create and drive labor relations strategy as well as tactical plans with the intent of creating a harmonious and productive employee relations environment.
- Works towards simplification of existing policies & processes in own functional area. To enhance colleague & managerial experience.
Organization Stakeholder Management:
- Partners closely with Global & Regional People Experience colleagues & COEs
- Internal Stakeholders ( Category and Functional leaders, enabling function leads, above market leaders)
- External stakeholders (Employment related statutory authorities, talent partners and vendors, Universities; HR Associations; Heads of HR and C&B COE.)
Qualification and Experience
- 10 + years of HR experience with at least 5 years of people management and leadership roles.
- MBA or Master’s Degree in related subject area is preferred.
- Experience of working in a matrix environment is needed.
- Strong communication skills is an essential requirement
- A proven track record of stakeholder management and developing talent is essential
- Deep experience in change management and leading transformation is needed.
- Must have relationship management, coaching and collaboration skills.
- Influence, shaping solutions negotiation and partnership skills are required.
Ability to understand and integrate internal and external business drivers and financial metrics to drive talent outcomes for the business is preferred.
