About the Role
This role will be responsible for developing and executing business development strategies in concert with the Business Development Director – Asia, for a number of key practices, markets, industries, and clients within the Asia region, while developing and executing, together with the leadership team, the strategic plans for a number of key practices, markets, and clients across Asia. This role will be located in our Singapore office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking research and analysis to support the identification, retention, and development of clients and executing cross-selling programs
- Collaborating with regional and global colleagues to access and supplement their expertise, ranging from Brand & Communications, Events, and E-marketing to our dedicated New Business Team, which leads the production of pitch books, presentations, and responses to RFIs and RFPs
- Leading the drafting submissions for legal directories, related industry guides, and awards
- Working with the Events team to organize market-leading events, such as panel/speaking engagement opportunities, seminars, receptions, thought leadership dinners, etc.
- Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of practice, market and industry, client mix, matter experience, trade groups, and media trends
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Possess extensive knowledge of core marketing principals including internal communications, public relations, seminar/event planning, branding, market research, competitive intelligence, pitching, and client development
- Demonstrate excellent leadership and project management skills (i.e., organizing, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making) necessary for effective management
- Exhibit well-developed, professional interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
And have:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
- Progressively responsible business development and marketing experience in a legal or professional services environment
- Supervisory/management experience
