How You’ll Make An Impact


The Associate Brand Manager will drive sustained growth and set the Valvoline Global Operations business up for future success by building brand equity and affinity with consumers and business partners through key initiatives and global platforms. Key responsibilities include agency management, brand strategy, creative and messaging strategy, campaign development support, and budget management. Beyond building brand equity, this role will leverage global partnerships to increase awareness and consideration, creating value for retailers and installers. This role will support all business units of VGO as part of the global service line with a focus on the APAC region of the world. In the role, you would be responsible for:

  • Collaborate and work with in-house creative team and external agencies to develop ad campaigns and marketing materials to deliver on business objectives and build the brand globally.
  • Collaborate with regional marketing teams on brand marcom efforts and channel approach to ensure global synergies and consistency in voice, image and implementation across the enterprise. Serve as a brand consultant to the APAC region, translating business objectives and goals into actionable cross-channel marketing strategies that efficiently build the brand, drive sales and meet/exceed KPI goals.
  • Ensure brand standards, playbooks, templates and guidelines are created, updated/versioned, and enforced across the enterprise to reinforce governance. Manage the Valvoline brand with intentionality and care to ensure brand clarity and consistency in all markets.
  • Work directly with VGO Partnerships & Social teams to develop global assets and/or activations to be leveraged by marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with market research and agency teams to translate insights into winning communication strategies with the ability to articulate, present and gain 'buy-in' from marketing teams globally.
  • Work with product strategy & management team regarding product brand architecture - how the brand comes to life 'at shelf' and 'on pack'.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising or related area.
  • 5+ years’ working experience in marketing/brand planning with agency management.
  • Working knowledge of traditional and digital media as well as sports & entertainment strategic partnerships.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrate experience translating objectives into strategic and tactical plans.
  • Ability to evaluate and optimize creative.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, as needed.
  • Strong presentation skills; detail oriented; deadline driver, data and performance focused.
  • Strong project management skill is a plus.
  • Currently living in the APAC region. This position will be fully hybrid soon and our Head Office is in Singapore.
  • Your direct manager is a US base employee, so there are times when it is necessary to adjust your working time when needed.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Cross-cultural and/or global experience.
  • Experience working in heavy volume agency management globally.
  • China market experience would be a plus.
