Responsibilities
· Monitor market trends and assess viability of possible business opportunities
· Maintain close relationship with Charterers and Brokers
· Identify customer needs and expectations through relationship management
· Calculate voyage profit and Negotiate spot fixtures/Time Charter with Charterers and/or Brokers
· Manage contract
· Supervise chartering and operation staff
· Liaise with Operation to address related issues arising in the pre/post fixing process
· Responsible for reporting and updating customer chartering activities, personnel, refinery and fleet changes and updated customer information files
· All other chartering related matters
· Product Tanker Pool management including preparation of annual budget, pool point calculation, and maintain close relationship with Pool participants and ship management companies
Requirements
· University Degree or Diploma (with maritime industry preferred)
· Excellent command of English language in order to communicate effectively with our partners, charterers and HQ
· Proficiency in Japanese Language is essential for communication, preparation of reports in Japanese is needed for headquarter in Japan.
· Minimum 3 years product tanker operations, chartering, managing pool experience.
· Good understanding & knowledge of charter party terms / tanker operations / Pool management
· Relevant experience in shipping, ship management or tanker industry will be an advantage.
