APAC Regional Junior Project Manager
The role is required to support the management and monitoring of the progress of APAC and global projects.
The APAC Regional Junior Project Manager will be expected to work the Project Managers and PMO in the creation of the solutions, responding to the needs of the Business Owner, in a framework agreed by the project Sponsor. This incumbent will be responsible for following up with all stakeholders to arrange meetings, support planning, driving the content for implementing & closing the project while ensuring it is within the agreed quality, costs and time measures.
In addition, he/she will also provide support to the PMO to provide oversight of the status of the various projects and initiatives through the monthly business review. This position plays an important role as a member of the overall project management team in the APAC organization and the Global project function.
Role Purpose:
The regional project management team aims to provide support for the Asendia Asia Pacific (APAC) to become an innovative e-commerce logistics provider in the region through cross-functional team collaboration, new project initiation and delivery and enhancement of the customer’s digital experience.
This role is intended to be a part of the Regional Operations Function and ensure that as part of the PMO, the strategic projects are implemented within the expected time. This role will be to support the creation of business case for the launch of project, assist the business owners to gather, document, synthesize and articulate business requirements to all project contributors and stakeholders.
Depending on the nature of projects, the Junior Project Manager may need to further join the teams that drive the change management across the region includingtaking part in training and communications, for future development and growth. This person needs to be self-driven, ability to support various business function to deep dive and problem solving and embrace of spirt of entrepreneurship.
Key Tasks, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities:
1. Management of APAC Local/Regional Projects
- Ensure that all APAC projects are delivered on-time, within the scope and budget
- Ensure the Business Case is drafted with well-defined project scopes, objectives, costs, and benefits involving all relevant stakeholders (esp. Business Sponsor and Business Owner).
- Adopt the APO’s project management methodology for all APAC’s projects
- Update the Business Case and communicate it to the Asendia group
- Ensure resource availability and allocation for the project
- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
- Perform risk management and escalate the project risks using the Flash Report to the Steering Committee as needed
- Manage the User Acceptance Test (UAT) and drive the change management across the region including working with contributors to organise training and communication for local execution
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
2. Monitoring APAC Local Projects and Initiatives
- Collaborate with the local PMs and regional PMO to report the overall progress and health of projects and initiatives to local/regional management team during the monthly Business Review
- Support the regional PMO to update to local/regional management on the status of project milestones and deliverables across the portfolio
- Escalate major project risks to regional management and monitor the progress on the militating actions
- Provides mentoring support and coaching to the local project managers
- APAC ambassador for Asendia PM community
3. Project Prioritization as per APAC Strategic Business Objective
- Close interaction with the APAC strategy planning team to ensure that the projects are aligned to APAC operational and strategic objectives
- Work with Head Office and regional PMO to use global project tools and track APAC projects performance KPIs
- Work with Head Office and regional PMO to properly capture the projects costs and benefits are accurately capture in a timely manner so that manage can measure the returns of project.

Job Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors/Masters in Business, Engineering, Sciences, Supply Chain, or related. Postgrads are welcome to apply.
- 1-3 years of experience in project management / PMO related roles.
- Certified in Project Management such as PMP, PRINCE2, ScrumMaster, and Agile will be preferred.
- Experience in Project Management standards & tools (esp. planning, deliverable specifications, risk & interdependency management, scope management)
- Experience in reporting, risk management, meeting moderation, presentation & time management.
- Experience of working cross-culturally in an international environment, able to work with customers and suppliers globally.
- Experience with initiatives/project tracking (e.g. knowledge of utilizing tracking tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, etc.)
- Experience with problem solving tools (e.g. logic trees, storylines, quantitative model)
- Good experience in stakeholder management
- Good knowledge of eCommerce.
- Knowledge of project management processes and principles.
- Self-driven and can work with cross-functional teams.
- Willing to be hands-on with the project team to problem solve issues from the project.
- Autonomous / well organised / strong self-management & self-motivation.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Good time management and able to manage a range of priorities at the same time, delivering results on time, within budget and to the highest level of quality.
- Ability to understand, document and articulate both technical and business requirements.
- Operational excellence mindset and experience. Excellent problem-solving skills. Adept at simplifying complexity and developing scalable propositions.
- Culturally aware, able to work with teams from different countries recognizing and understanding differences in approach.
