Job Description:


Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Conduct financial analysis, interpret data, and provide insights to support decision-making.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Develop and manage the annual budgeting process for the construction projects and the overall company.

Collaborate with project managers and department heads to establish project budgets and track actual costs against budgeted amounts.

Monitor project budgets, identify variances, and provide recommendations for cost control.

Create financial forecasts and projections to support strategic planning and resource allocation.

Oversee job cost accounting processes, including tracking project costs, labor, materials, and overhead expenses.

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, regulations, and contractual requirements specific to the construction industry.

Prepare for and coordinate internal and external audits, responding to audit inquiries and implementing audit recommendations.

Maintain proper documentation and records of financial transactions and contracts.



Job Requirements:


A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is preferred

Have at least 5 years’ working experience in a similar role

Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis.

Familiarity with construction accounting practices, including revenue recognition, cost tracking, and contract management.

Understanding of project-based accounting and the ability to handle job cost analysis, work in progress (WIP), and project billing.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders, including project managers, executives, and external parties.

Familiarity with accounting software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as tax regulations and construction contract requirements.
