What will I be doing?
As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will upkeep the cleanliness and maintenance of public areas, F&B outlets, guestrooms, guest corridors and back-of-house areas. Specifically, a Housekeeping Supervisor will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Assign rooms to the room attendants on their allocated floors. Ensure room cleaning process is prioritized based on operational needs.
- Attend the morning briefing for the room attendants and also for the Supervisors in the morning.
- Prepare daily supervisor briefing minutes.
- Check vacant, occupied, checked out and out-of-service rooms (including those under Perfect Room Program) on their assigned floors. Make sure rooms are available for Front Office to sell as soon as possible.
- Conduct daily performance checklist for each room attendant in his/her area.
- Inspect guest floor corridors on their assigned floors.
- Inspect Room Attendant’s trolleys, floor’s pantries and service areas on the assigned floors.
- Prepare and check VIP rooms.
- Attend to guests’ requests and complaints.
- Report any maintenance work immediately and follow up before end of each shift.
- Supervise and check night turndown service by the room attendants.
- Report any ‘privacy’ and ‘make up’ rooms to Housekeeping Office.
- Train, evaluate and counsel Team Members, recommend disciplinary action and identify training needs whenever required.
- Ensure the Housekeeping instructions and procedures are followed.
- Report any unusual, sick, irregular behaviors of guests and Team Members which arouse suspicion.
- Report any sighting of vermin for immediate follow up.
- Ensure guest rooms’ flowers and plants are delivered or replaced and well maintained.
- Ensure all Lost & Found items are properly and promptly reported and handed over to Housekeeping Office.
- Retrieve items loaned to guest upon guest departure.
- Communicate and co-ordinate with other departments, especially Reception, Engineering, Room Service and Flower Shop.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is in good working condition.
- To be fully aware on procedures for emergencies.
- Assist in room linen and other room setup inventory as and when required.
- Perform midnight shift in the absence of the midnight supervisor.
- Responsible for scheduling, assigning, training and supervision of all staff in the public area section.
- Inspect personal grooming, uniform tidiness and cleanliness of Team Members.
- Control and supervise inventory for cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Co-ordinate with contractors for the maintenance of cleaning equipment.
- Schedule and supervise the pest control treatments.
- Schedule and supervise carpet shampooing, upholstery shampooing, floor waxing, marble floor crystallization and window glass cleaning.
- Upkeep and maintain flowers and plants in the F&B outlets and public areas.
- Effectively communicate the hotel’s safety working procedures to Team Members.
- Check on the work carried out by the overnight cleaning contractor.
- Liaise with contractors for carrying out all special cleaning programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- At least two to three years relevant working experience in a luxury hotel
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Vocational training in Housekeeping or similar field
