Overview
- We are in search of a seasoned DeltaV System Programmer to join the team stationed at a client site, a multinational pharmaceutical company.
- You will be tasked with formulating and executing control system strategies utilizing the DeltaV DCS platform within the Life Sciences Manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a team environment, working alongside engineers and designers, partners, and clients to deliver cutting-edge Control Systems aimed at enhancing efficiency, product quality, and profitability in process manufacturing.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of a distributed control system (DCS) in alignment with S88 standards for the plant in collaboration with the automation team.
- Participate in system architecture, Design Specification, Control Strategies, and library development.
- Conduct testing, on-site commissioning, and qualification of control systems.
- Develop Life Cycle documents, Electrical panels, Control Architecture, and wiring drawings adhering to GMP standards.
- Provide day-to-day support for Automation systems in manufacturing operations.
- Establish engineering standards to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of project execution.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Pharmaceutical industry, involving projects or operations.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with the latest Emerson DeltaV DCS platform.
- Show understanding of Batch S88 standards (CM, EM, Phases, Recipes, Units, etc.).
- Familiarity with automation hardware and networking technologies.
- Display initiative as a motivated self-starter, capable of adapting quickly and working with minimal supervision.
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Possess good interpersonal and presentation skills for effective communication with clients/management teams when required.
- Show experience and/or interest in pharmaceutical & biologics GMP processes (e.g., computer systems validation).
