Our client is a renowned maritime MNC with its global HQ based in Sgp (at Maple Tree Biz Park- about 10 min walk from the Labrador MRT station ). This co also allows a WFH arrangement for 2 days per week.
Reporting to the Head of Corp Comms, you are part of a lean team. This role is an internal communication focused role at the global HQ level.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support corporate communications for the Group and some of its affiliates with timely, relevant, and engaging content and visuals.
- Support, draft and contribute to the Group's annual Sustainability Report.
- Support, draft and contribute to the Group's bi-annual publication.
- Assist with press releases and media inquiries.
- Assist in maritime crisis communications in conjunction with the Head of Communications and a third-party partner agency.
- Create and execute digital communications campaigns to engage internal/external stakeholders and enhance the company's online presence e.g. LinkedIn
- Oversee social media platforms and the Group’s website.
- Plan and draft internal communications to keep employees informed about company news, achievements, and initiatives.
- Provide support for company events, industry forums and exhibitions (e.g. take photos and prepare videos).
- Manage the Group's creative assets and media library.
- Develop relationships with third-party providers (web agency, design partners etc.).
- Update distribution lists, raise Purchasing Orders and process third-party invoices.
- Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all print/online communications platforms.
- Support ad-hoc and unplanned communication and branding requests.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate the below:
- Bachelor degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Additional certification and/or training in crisis communication, media relations, or relevant areas will be an advantage.
- Journalism/ editorial experience will be a bonus (but not a must)
- Minimum three years of in house internal communications exp gained with a MNC or large conglomerate.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt and design content for internal/external audiences and channels, breaking down complex topics into clear, compelling, easy-to-understand content.

- Good eye for design. Proficient with content creation and photo editing tools e.g. Canva.

Note:
- This role is more of an internal communications role whereby we are looking at a cand with hands-on experience managing the end-to-end process of comms in-house, e.g. drafting newsletters from scratch, liaising directly with stakeholders for content stories, producing simple graphics on Canva and taking photos during company events. (This role does not cover too much of PR or campaign marketing etc).
- Exp doing internal drafting of articles is required (the co is reducing the outsourcing of writing requirements to external agencies).
