Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Wintel Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of cloud services, particularly in AWS and Microsoft Azure environments, coupled with extensive experience in Windows system administration. The role requires proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, along with hands-on experience in container orchestration platforms such as ECS and EKS. As a Cloud Wintel Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cloud infrastructures while ensuring high levels of security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud services in AWS and Azure environments to meet the organization's requirements and standards.
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and applications across various Windows environments.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to deploy and manage cloud resources efficiently using Terraform.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to implement and maintain container orchestration platforms such as ECS and EKS for scalable and resilient application deployments.
- Perform system administration tasks on Windows Server 2019/2022, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Manage Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, IIS, SCCM, WSUS, and Windows Cluster services to ensure reliability, availability, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to enhance system reliability, performance, and security.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal operation of cloud infrastructure and Windows environments.
- Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and procedures related to cloud infrastructure, Windows systems, and associated technologies.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, Windows administration, and DevOps practices to continuously improve our infrastructure and processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Azure Certification (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) is mandatory.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and operating cloud services in AWS and/or Azure environments.
- Strong proficiency in Windows system administration, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform for automated deployment and management of cloud resources.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies and experience working with container orchestration platforms like ECS and EKS.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server 2019/2022 operating systems, including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, IIS, SCCM, WSUS, and Windows Cluster services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Oracle Cloud.
- Certification in Microsoft Certified: Windows Server (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) or equivalent.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration tasks.
- Knowledge of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
