The Head of Scripted at Beach House Pictures is responsible for the development, packaging and sales of scripted series and feature length films in key markets from the US to Asia, including identifying and reviewing new IP (i.e. articles, books, original scripts), creating and overseeing the creation of development materials (i.e. treatments, scripts, trailers), packaging talent (i.e. writer, actor, director), pitching them to platform buyers, agents, talents and studios. This is an exciting senior position that will actively contribute to Beach House’s rapidly expanding business and slate of international scripted projects.

As Head of Scripted, you will also be responsible for:

· Growing and maintaining relationships with buyers, agents, onscreen and offscreen talents, studios, filmmakers and potential co-producers in BHP’s key markets internationally, including US, UK, Southeast Asia, China, Korea, Japan and Australia.

· Maintaining a high degree of knowledge of current events, content trends, buyer briefs. Report them to senior management and share with HOD.

· Developing high quality content that feeds off and strengthens the company’s brand, culture and reputation.

· Ensuring the quality and reputation of BHP’s scripted series and feature films are at the highest levels and that BHP is the forefront of the standards and demands of the international fiction industry. Including meeting the changing viewership and platform demands around the world.

· Assuming Executive Producer responsibilities where necessary and for assigned pilots, specials, presentations, and series

· Working closely with development teams and provide leadership.

· Being responsible for working together with BHP’s other divisions when called on – i.e. development, factual, unscripted – to collaborate and bring value to projects and pitches, including upskilling teams.

· Being knowledgeable about BHP’s history, business and unique selling points. And represent and market the company professionally as a senior member of the team, especially at industry or professional groups, meetings and events.

· Mentoring new and junior members of the company.
