To coordinate stem cell donations from unrelated donors and ensure donor safety in the entire donation process.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the coordination of pre-testing for bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cell donations, including but not limited to, scheduling blood tests, packing blood kits and liaising with international stem cell registries
- Educate, counsel and consent donors on the bone marrow or peripheral blood stem cell donation process
- Collaborate with Search and Transplantation Team, international stem cell registries, collection centres, local laboratories, courier and government ministries to facilitate the donor stem cell collection and transport.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of the donor stem cell collection process.
- Update and ensure compliance to all policies, procedures and standards requirement set by BMDP and regulatory bodies such as the World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA) and PDPC.
- Assist ad hoc activities including quality assurance and service improvement projects and any other duties as requested by the Head of Donor Management.

Qualifications
- For Diploma holders, at least 2 years’ experience
- For Degree holders, fresh graduates may apply
- Experience in hospital / healthcare / social service related setting preferred
- Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
- Written and Oral Communication Skills
- People Skills - Ability to effectively communicate, understand, empathise
- Client Relations Management
- Knowledge of Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) preferred but not necessary
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
