Automation Engineer for Singapore office specialized in service and commissioning of Marine Automation Systems.
Key responsibilities.
- Strong technical background within automation fields, ideally within maritime environments.
- In-depth knowledge of PC and PLC based control and monitoring systems.
- Troubleshooting of various automation products including alarm and monitoring system, cargo control system and propulsion control system.
- Field Service attendance - Onboard vessels includes offshore, out station and shipyards.
- Installation and customization of automation hardware and software as per OEM and well as job specific requirements
- Expects good knowledge and understanding of serial data communication (Modbus RTU and TCP/IP) and analysis, configuration, installation of network equipment.
- Experience with power management system and electrical troubleshooting, will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge and experience of OPC server/client configuration, PID configuration, power management system and electrical troubleshooting, will be an added advantage.
- Software customization using various PLC and SCADA based mimic preparations.
- With this role we expect to perform retrofit tasks and upgrade of existing automation systems.
Requirement:
- Should be an Engineering graduate specialized in Electronic & Communication.
- With 3-5 years of hands-on experience in marine automation products.
- Customer focussed with a commercial mind-set and solution oriented.
- Should have the calibre to provide remote assistance to customer on a well organised manner as per requirement.
- Willing to travel on short notice.
- Good communication in English (written & oral)
- To be well versed in using MS Office application.
- A very good team player and an out of the box thinker
