Senior Civil Engineer

Primary Role
Responsible for advanced Planning, designing, integrating, installation, rigging and lifting equipment, including management of contractors and vendors
Responsible for supervising and assessing the set-up of all project components, manage all aspects of an engineering project, prepare schedules, communicate with clients, project
Key Activities
1.Provide guidance and direction to civil engineering staff, ensuring their compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and codes
2.Oversee and regularly review engineering processes and resources to maximize efficiency and productivity
3.Develop plans for new engineering initiatives, including investigating new technologies and developing plans for new project implementations
4.Required to be analytical and precise, in order to explore alternative solutions and analyze feasibility of plans
5.Work independently and to coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to implement new processes and technology, to offer innovative solutions to customers
6.Design, communicate and implement an operational plan, Create and maintain cost estimates for projects and programs
7.Identify, develop, and gather the resources necessary to complete the project. This may include preparing engineering standards, designs, and work specifications
8.Developing project schedules, budget, and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, and external contractors
9.Liaise with other operational areas in the organization (engineering, design, drafting, technical) to secure specialize resources and contributions for the project
10.Conduct project meetings and prepare regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team
11.Set priorities, allocate tasks, and to meet projects targets and milestones, ensure smooth authority submission.
12.Solve technical issue such as drawing discrepancy, site condition changes, verify plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy, raise RFI when necessary;
13.Ensure accuracy of setting out, levelling and site surveying and all materials used and work performed are as per specifications;
14.Liaising with project consultants, architect, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project;
15.Support Project manager to liaise with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws;
16.Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers, and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress;
17.Overseeing quality control and assist safety department to achieve health and safety target on site;
18.Preparing method statement, daily weekly and monthly report;
19.Ensuring all site inspection and record as per client/developer requirement
20.Ensuring all testing and quantity inspection are carried out as per contract requirement.
21.Analyze and resolve engineering problems and demonstrate effective skills in oral and written communication
