As a Technician you are tasked to operate automated manufacturing equipment to produce, package and sterilize contact lenses ensuring products produced are of acceptable quality level at Tuas. In this role, a typical day will include:
Responsibilities
- Operate production together with team to manufacture quality products.
- Operate Autoclave machine for the sterilization of contact lenses.
- Perform lot changes and maintenance of production lines.
- Ensure good 5S standards, batch documentation completeness in accordance to procedures for production lines and supporting equipment such as autoclaves.
What You'll Bring to Alcon
- Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma
- Experience in GMP controlled manufacturing/production environment is an advantage
- Able to work 12 hours rotating shifts (Monthly rotation from day to night shift and vice versa)
- The job role require long hours of standing and walking, provide machine coverage during breaks
- Proficient in English (read and write)
- Able to work OT as and when required
- Able to update simple data using computer
