Financial Planning and Analysis Manager ( Travel Retail)
Our client is a leading international cosmetic brand and their regional HQ is based in Singapore.
You will provide commercial finance support to the TR AP division, working closely with the TR AP Market Directors. Acts as co-pilot to strategically and operationally lead the business with them including decision support, ROI analysis, brand level analysis, identify risks & opportunities, finance priorities etc.
Your main focus :
- Partnering with sales & marketing team as well as cross-functional teams to drive growth & building blocks to deliver targets
- Financial reporting: Prepare month-end closing (non-routine journal entries), prepare monthly MBU deck (Financial health check), review monthly financial closing balances for accruals, provide commentary on the key financial variances on key lines/brands including SEC Quarterly Reporting Pack.
- Animate monthly P&L Outlook for full TR AP, partnering with CFO and GM.
- Prepare & submit financial forecast updates (Annual Plan, Profit Forecast, Monthly Outlook, Weekly Sales Updates etc) & 3 years plan
- Provide in-depth analysis and perspective on key Markets (customers focus)/brands and local spend areas, such as advertising, promotions/discount. Ensure all Brand initiatives are appropriately assessed from a local point of view including monitoring spend vs AOP / Forecast.
- Gross margin (C1) analysis & review improvement to gross margin performance including new items, promotion activities, discount, product mix, gross to net improvement, price increase etc (Monthly C1 bridge)
- Ability to anticipate ahead so he or she could organize reviews/analysis to manage emerging issues or reporting needs that will provide business leads / TR AP leadership team with the analytical insights to meet or exceed Annual Budget.
- CFC tracking on People Costs.
- Evaluate business proposals and provide financial advices to commercial team to ensure company KPIs are achieved, i.e. revenues, expenses and performance of counters/distributors etc.
- Drive continuous process improvement in reporting and analysis of financial KPIs
- Cash Flow - Cash management – Co- Lead working capital reduction for the Markets – DSO, Overdues.
- Maintain, review and document per SOX requirements and ensure accounting & reporting areas are compliance with local GAAP and tax regulation, SOX, Corporate Governance requirements and policy compliance and US GAAP.
- Work on Special Projects in the areas of system harmonization and enhancements as well as go to market changes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including local custodian organization and Shared Service Centre and Global FP&A
The team consists of Finance professionals and you will work closely together with several departments such as the Marketing, Commercial and Global teams.

- Min 10 years of professional experience in Finance and Accounting, preferably gained within the FMCG industry or other Beauty sectors with some experiences in FP&A. Being a qualified accountant is a plus with experience in SAP and HFM.
