Purpose and Scope:
The person is responsible as assistant planning engineer to assist the planning manager & planning engineer to facilitate, consolidate, track and liaison of all submissions, approvals, drawings and other documents for authority compliance, commencement, construction, and completion of a project.
The person is responsible to assist the planning manager & planning engineer in creating and monitoring project execution plans and highlight deviations and communicate to respective stakeholders. The person is also responsible for supporting the timely delivery of solar system installation projects.
The person is also responsible for project office / site administrative duties to maintain office optimal operating function.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Monitor project master schedule to ensure documents submission is on time.
- Manage the documentation control for project including but not limited to categorization, indexing, filing, issue and receipt of transmittals and project documents/drawings to all relevant reviewers for new / revised documents.
- Management of turnaround of LIVE project documents/drawings in receiving, distribution and transmitting for the projects that are on-going - Update and remind/flag out Project team and vendors on outstanding document.
- Gather comprehensive information from the project engineers, meticulously complete application forms for submission to the relevant authorities, and diligently monitor and track the progress until resolution.
- Undertake meticulous on-site verifications of rooftops and electrical switchrooms to gather essential information necessary for submission to the relevant authorities.
- Anticipate and monitor the submission status with various authorities such as SPPG, SCDF, EMA, among others, proactively identifying any potential delays and promptly highlighting them for attention for closure of outstanding issues
- Undertake any other ad-hoc task or any other responsibilities and assignments as assigned by the Reporting Officer or Project Manager
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum diploma in engineering field, with sound knowledge of project planning & document controls
- Experience in coordination with Project & Engineering and Operations & Maintenance personnel will be an added advantage.
- Understanding in project timeline & cost control will be an added advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint
- Have initiative, pro-activeness, good attitude & willing to learn
- Able to work independently & with others in a deadline-driven & result-driven team environment
- Ability to interact with & effectively manage with various levels of admin, technical personnel & vendors/contractors/agencies to support our project delivery.
