The Solar Project Assistant Manager/Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of solar energy projects, from inception to completion. He plays a crucial role in the successful implementation of solar energy projects, balancing project management skills, technical expertise and environmental considerations.
Responsibilities
- Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines, considering all necessary resources and permits.
- Assemble and lead a team of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors to execute the project efficiently.
- Conduct site assessments to determine the feasibility of solar installations, considering factors like sun exposure, terrain, and environmental impact.
- Ensure that all necessary permits and regulatory requirements are obtained and adhered to throughout the project.
- Select and procure solar panels, inverters, and other equipment, considering cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Assist in monitoring project budgets, control costs, and report financial progress to management.
- Supervise the construction phase, ensuring that work is carried out safely, in compliance with WSH standards and according to design specifications.
- Assist in implementing quality control measures to guarantee the performance and longevity of the solar energy system.
- Keep the project on schedule and address any delays promptly to meet deadlines.
- Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project success.
- Maintain regular communication with management, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Oversee the commissioning and testing of the solar energy system to ensure it functions as intended.
- Assist in preparing documentation and training, if applicable, for the handover of the completed project to the client
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance as needed, and address any warranty issues.
- Assist in promoting sustainable practices and ensure the solar project aligns with environmental and energy efficiency goals.
- Prepare and deliver project progress reports to management and clients.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering / Project Management or equivalent with at least 2 years relevant working experience preferably in solar related projects
- Advantage to have knowledge in Solar Prephotovoltaic system and installation.
- Possess good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Willing to work beyond normal working hours as and when required
- Willing to work within Ubi Crescent Vicinity
- Able to commence work within short notice.
