The responsibilities include greeting and welcoming guests, ensuring that server stations are well-organized, and responding to guests' requests in a timely and efficient manner. To be a successful Customer Service ambassador, you must have good knowledge of proper food and beverage handling procedures and excellent organizational skills. Ultimately, an exceptional Customer Service ambassador acts as the face of the company brand, must be able to communicate effectively with both staff and guests as well as demonstrate outstanding customer service skills.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Serving guests upon their arrival
- Setting tables with clean linen, napkins, and tableware as well as condiments
- Ensuring that the server stations are adequately stocked with tableware, napkins, and condiments
- Delivering meal and beverage items to guests as needed
- Assisting with cashiering or processing guests' payments
- Clearing dirty tableware from dining tables and taking them to the kitchen to be washed
- Performing clean-up duties, which include sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors as well as polishing counters and fixtures
- Answering guests' questions regarding meal ingredients and preparation
- Notifying the manager of low or depleted restaurant supplies
