Cafe Assistant Manager (5 days/week)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cafe Assistant Manager to join our team. The Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the cafe, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, and contributing to the overall success and growth of the business. This role requires a passion for the hospitality industry, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and motivate cafe staff to achieve performance targets and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Train and onboard new employees, ensuring they understand company policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
  • Schedule shifts, manage payroll, and oversee staff performance evaluations.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the cafe.
  • Monitor customer feedback and respond to inquiries or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure that customers receive prompt and courteous service, and that their needs are met efficiently.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to meet budgetary goals.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both customers and employees.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional campaigns to attract new customers and retain existing ones.


Requirements:

  • 3-4 years experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a cafe or restaurant setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
  • Minimum education qualifications: Diploma in any field.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
