Job Brief:
We are looking for a creative, detail-orientated candidate with good interpersonal skills for the position of Interior Designer. The candidate must be able to proactively work independently as well as in teams. If you are able to think artistically about the use of space, colour and movement as well as draw on other creative mediums for inspiration, we would like to meet you. Responsibilities:
- Undertake design projects from concept to completion.
- Monitor and implement projects to ensure quality of workmanship, timeliness, compliance with technical and safety requirements and adherence to client’s requirements.
- Prepare tender documents, including drafting of contracts, evaluating and providing recommendations for tenders, and awarding of procurement contracts.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Make site visits to check on project status and report on project.
- Outline and determine resource requirements of respective projects.
- Constantly research new and innovative designs, industry trends and best practices.
- Participate in design review presentations to Management to gain approval to proceed with said design.
- Maintain good rapport with suppliers, client consultants and architect contractors.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Interior Design, Architecture, with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
- Must be able to understand and read design and technical drawings.
- Self-motivated and result orientated with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to read, write and speak Mandarin an advantage.
- Willing to travel.
