Responsibilities
- Collaborate with FM Site Lead, Mechanical Lead, and Fire Safety Trade Lead to establish clear expectations, scope, and deliverables for the Mechanical and Fire Safety teams, overseeing training and development initiatives.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to ensure team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Work closely with team members, service providers, and vendors on system investigations, inspections, audits, and maintenance program reviews.
- Lead or provide support in investigating incidents and system failures to identify root causes.
- Participate in and support audits subscribed to by the company.
- Oversee, monitor, and manage Mechanical and Fire Safety systems/services and vendor contracts, ensuring timely renewals and compliance with authority licenses and permits.
- Ensure processes align with Audit Risk Committee recommendations, company Contract Management, Procurement, and Finance Policies.
- Ensure compliance with SCDF fire codes and/or SSCP, staying updated on any amendments.
- Respond and support the maintenance agent and vendors in mitigating critical system failures or incidents.
- Collaborate with FM Admin team on contract document compilation and perform invoice verification for timely processing.
- Ensure timely resolution of reported system faults and breakdowns.
- Conduct monthly analysis of Mechanical/Fire Safety systems breakdowns and propose improvement plans.
- Conduct internal audits to identify non-compliances, address gaps, and follow up until closure.
- Act as the liaison for Mechanical/Fire Safety Team on authority matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in managing mechanical systems operations.
- Experience in operations and replacement of Fire Safety/Alarm System, Medical Gas/Vacuum System, Lift and Escalator System, Pneumatic Tube System is advantageous.
- Certificate in Fire Safety Manager/Fire Safety Officer or WSH.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
- Positive work attitude, ability to collaborate with all levels of staff, and a strong team player.
