About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Scientist to join our Identity Verification Product team. The successful candidate will lead data science efforts, focusing on leveraging big data to enhance our eKYC product's performance, optimize conversion rates, and strengthen our anti-fraud capabilities. This role involves managing a small team of data scientists and collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and the AI research team to drive data-driven decisions and innovations.
You will:
- Data Strategy Development: Design and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the product’s goals, focusing on improving product performance and user experience through advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data scientists. Establish clear goals, manage project loads, and ensure high-quality research and data analysis in support of product development.
- Analytics and Insights: Conduct deep-dive analyses on large datasets to uncover actionable insights. Translate complex data findings into strategic recommendations for product enhancements, risk management, and customer journey optimization.
- Model Development and Evaluation: Develop and refine machine learning models to improve document verification, fraud detection, and biometric verification processes. Continuously evaluate model performance and implement improvements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, algorithm leads, and engineering teams to integrate data science solutions into the product, ensuring seamless implementation and optimization of data-driven features.
- Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and identity verification technologies. Foster a culture of innovation within the team by exploring new methodologies and tools to enhance our product offerings.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in data science
- Proven expertise in machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.
- Strong experience with data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., Python, SQL) and machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience in data visualization and tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and stakeholders.
- Prior experience in eKYC, identity verification, fraud detection, or related fields is highly desirable.
