Role Responsibilities
Job Summary
Standard Chartered needs a Hive Tech Lead to drive the success of the Liquidity and IRRBB journey, which drives liquidity and interest rate risk management for Standard Chartered Group and it’s regional Treasury Hubs. This role sits within Treasury Technology team and will work closely with Treasury Liquidity, Treasury IRRBB, Finance Ops, Treasury Technology and Finance Change teams.
The Hive Tech Lead will be accountable to drive technology strategy, project delivery, process, people agenda, risk and governance of the journey.
Responsibilities
Strategy
· Responsible - Awareness of SCB’s group strategy and steer hive strategy to achieve group outcomes
· Responsible - Alignment of technology strategy to business strategy
· Accountable - Management and measurement of strategic outcomes
· Accountable - Align Liquidity/IRRBB Hive activities towards Technology Strategy/ Scorecard
Business
· Accountable – Delivery of strategic technology systems for Liquidity and IRRBB
· Responsible – Drive effectiveness and efficiencies of Liquidity/IRRBB Hive to achieve business outcomes
· Informed – Awareness of Liquidity and Interest Rate Risk methodologies and the impact to the bank’s business
· Accountable – Ensures timely and stable running of systems owned by the hive
Processes
· Accountable – Implement systems operations processes leveraging the disciplines of SRE (Systems Reliability Engineering)
· Accountable – continue transition of domain over to ongoing Incremental Change (IC) model under Build & Maintain (B&M)
People & Talent
· Responsible – Building and maintaining strong technologists and technology leaders
· Accountable – Overall people leadership responsibility for technology teams with diverse skill sets, including budgeting, interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing more T-shaped/ M-shaped colleagues.
· Responsible – Ensuring squads are adequately resourced and fully funded
Risk Management
· Responsible - Management of third party risks related to usage of vendors and associated technologies
· Accountable – Manages all information and cyber security risks owned by the hive
· Accountable – Understands and manages capacity and resiliency of systems
Governance
· Accountable – Adherence of all hive releases to prevailing System Delivery Framework
· Accountable – Ensure the Liquidity/IRRBB domain adheres to all tech governance standards across ICS, risk, audit, resilience, service level dimensions
Regulatory & Business Conduct
· Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
· Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Our Ideal Candidate
· 10+ years of experience in a Banking industry
· Expertise in driving liquidity and interest rate risk management for treasury hubs
· Equivalent of a university level bachelors degree
