Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Interior Designer to join our vibrant team. You will play a key role in supporting all aspects of the design process, from client interaction to project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior designers in developing creative concepts for residential/commercial interior design projects (tailor based on company's area of expertise).
- Conduct research to source furniture, materials, finishes, and equipment within budget constraints.
- Create presentation materials, including mood boards, space plans, and 2D/3D visualizations (mention specific software if required).
- Assist with preparing and maintaining project schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely delivery and installation of materials and furniture.
- Manage project samples and maintain an organized sample library.
- Prepare presentations and proposals for client meetings.
- Take accurate minutes during client meetings and follow up on action items.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining project documentation.
- May assist with some aspects of space planning and basic drafting tasks (if applicable).
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Interior Design or related field (or) diploma in Interior Design with relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of design principles, including color theory, space planning, and furniture selection.
- Proficiency in design software programs like AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar (mention specific requirements).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
