Job Description:

As a Playgroup Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing a supportive and engaging learning environment for young children. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities to promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of each child.
  2. Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment for children aged 18 months to 3 years.
  3. Observe and assess each child's progress, provide feedback to parents, and maintain accurate records of their development.
  4. Foster a positive and respectful relationship with children, parents, and colleagues.
  5. Attend and contribute to staff meetings, professional development sessions, and other relevant events.
  6. Adhere to the policies and procedures of Edufarm Learning Centre LLP and comply with relevant regulations and licensing requirements.
  7. Collaborate with other Playgroup Teachers and support staff to ensure the smooth operation of the playgroup program.

Job Requirements:

  1. Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  2. At least 2 years of experience in teaching young children, preferably in a playgroup setting.
  3. Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methodologies.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and interact effectively with young children and their parents.
  5. Passionate about early childhood education and committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young learners.
  6. Patient, nurturing, and adaptable to the varying needs of children.
  7. First aid and CPR certification will be an advantage.
