Job Description:
As a Playgroup Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing a supportive and engaging learning environment for young children. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities to promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of each child.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment for children aged 18 months to 3 years.
- Observe and assess each child's progress, provide feedback to parents, and maintain accurate records of their development.
- Foster a positive and respectful relationship with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings, professional development sessions, and other relevant events.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of Edufarm Learning Centre LLP and comply with relevant regulations and licensing requirements.
- Collaborate with other Playgroup Teachers and support staff to ensure the smooth operation of the playgroup program.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in teaching young children, preferably in a playgroup setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and interact effectively with young children and their parents.
- Passionate about early childhood education and committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young learners.
- Patient, nurturing, and adaptable to the varying needs of children.
- First aid and CPR certification will be an advantage.
