You will be a valued member in our Tech (Front End) team, responsible for crafting amazing user experiences for our global customers across over 60 countries worldwide on Secretlab’s web store. In this role, you will analyse and understand how consumers interact with our brand, collaborating with multiple teams in designing the Secretlab customer journey to achieve key business objectives.
Our Tech (Front End) team is essential in bringing Secretlab’s award-winning products to customers across the globe, this includes our collaborative efforts with world-renowned brands such as Game of Thrones, Batman, Cloud9, Team Secret, as well as international esports organisers such as Riot Games for their League of Legends global tournaments.
Responsibilities
- Advocate and promote user-centricity across departments, positively influencing content quality and user experience.
- Ensure that implementations prioritise both our business goals and user impact, advocating for optimal customer experiences.
- Conduct comprehensive UX research, including consistently analysing website interaction data, performing competitive analysis, planning and conducting surveys and user testing sessions, and developing user personas and journey maps.
- Explore new SAAS and technologies to enhance research processes and customer experiences.
- Proactively evaluate and refine current designs to ensure alignment with project strategies and overall business vision.
- Translate requirements into wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and site maps that convey intuitive user experiences on Secretlab’s web store, iterating based on research findings.
- Engage in discussions and maintain close communication with key stakeholders across departments to understand requirements and objectives for new projects, translating these into actionable UX design initiatives.
- Facilitate alignment and brainstorm sessions with the UX team and stakeholders to discuss research findings and design directions. Present design concepts and prototypes to the UX and marketing teams for feedback.
- Collaborate closely with Front-End Developers to ensure design feasibility and implementation fidelity.
- Provide support for ad hoc projects across the organisation, recommending UX-centric solutions for a wide range of initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Design, preferably with professional certification/ training in UI/UX Design
- Minimum of 3-5 years of UI/UX experience, with time spent in an ecommerce environment, demonstrating a strong capacity for conducting in-depth user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions.
- Proficient in employing a wide range of UX research methodologies with a proven track record of integrating research findings into actionable design strategies. Portfolio should showcase successful projects where research directly influenced UI/UX and Visual Design outcomes.
- Strong technical UX skills in (but not limited to) sketching, wireframing, prototyping and visual design, with portfolio showcasing successful UI/UX & Visual Design projects
- Strong fundamentals in visual design/ graphic design experiences, with a high-level of comfort managing all external-facing communication media (multiple websites, landing pages, email templates, etc.)
- Strong history collaborating with web developers, preferably with knowledge and comfort working in HTML/ CSS
- Experience using various design tools including Adobe suite and Figma (or similar).
- Keen aesthetic sensibilities, meticulously obsessing over the small details, delivering pixel-perfect layouts, guiding the front-end development team towards accurate visual implementation.
- Natural inclination to create delightful customer experiences with a deep understanding of customer psychology in ecommerce
