Role: Project Manager
Job level: More than 10 years of relevant experience (L4)
Key Responsibilities:
The Technical Delivery Manager will be responsible for planning and execution of projects for Enterprise Data Warehouse, and Finance, Credit Risk, Compliance data marts in Data Analytics department. This role requires a mix of domain, data warehousing and project management skills:
Project Management & Execution: Lead and manage the full project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, translating them into actionable project plans.
Technical Solution Delivery: Coordinate with technical teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with the bank's strategic objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and managing expectations effectively.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively, developing contingency plans as necessary to minimize disruptions to project timelines and deliverables.
Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to support project activities, including assigning tasks, managing workloads, and optimizing team productivity.
Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality assurance processes to validate the accuracy and reliability of data analytics solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of projects, monitoring performance against targets and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes, methodologies, and tools, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the team.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment conducive to professional growth and development.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews, to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure transparency.
Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors providing metadata management solutions, overseeing their contributions to the successful implementation of the projects.
Key Requirements:
• Experience in implementing Data Warehousing projects in Finance, Credit Risk & Compliance domains
• Data Warehousing Expertise: experience of implementing large data warehouses based on Hadoop, Teradata, SAS, Oracle including data modelling, using ETL tools like Informatica PowerCenter, SSIS & visualization Tools such as Qlik, Microsoft Power BI
• Demonstrated proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) and tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges related to metadata quality, data lineage accuracy, and overall data governance effectiveness.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with attention to details
• Possess strong problem solving and decision-making skills while exercising good judgment
• Ability to work on multiple projects at a time with teams distributed across multiple locations
Qualifications/Certifications:
• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2
