We are seeking Head, Finance for our social service agency (SSA). The SSA, a non-profit organisation, is a volunteer-based organisation that seeks to serve and impact all members of the community, regardless of race, language or religion, through programmes, services and enterprises to develop the body, mind and spirit.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for leading a finance team to provide a full spectrum of finance function including financial processing, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance and internal controls improvement.
- Lead a team of finance staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of accounts and preparation of financial reports.
- Provide sound analysis of financial data to management and Business Heads.
- Plan and lead the annual budgeting exercise.
- Establish, monitor and improve accounting practices and internal controls to ensure good governance and reporting standards.
- Support implementation and improvement of accounting system and other business application systems.
- Support external and internal auditors for audit matters.
- Spearhead initiatives and implement measures to optimize process efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy or Finance.
- At least 7 years' experience, preferably with 3 years of experience in managerial position.
- Knowledgeable in financial managements reporting, analysis, budgeting, and cash flow management
- Sound knowledge of accounting systems and audit experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous, pro-active and results oriented
- Good presentation, communications and interpersonal skills.

Sun Ray Scheme
Sun Ray is a centralised scheme administered by NCSS to develop individuals who have strong leadership qualities to lead professional practices and agencies in the social service sector.
To enable a holistic development. there will be structured rotation across social service agencies in different sub-sectors to provide individuals with cross-organisational exposure and support. The exposure will enable those on the Sun Ray to develop broader sector perspectives and gain deep sector knowledge to help the social service agencies that they are deployed to build capabilities and capacity.
