ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- We are looking for a logistics planning manager in logistics planning department which is responsible for logistics analysis and planning solutions by using advanced IT technology and also carry out research and development of state-of-the-art technology for logistics services.
- In the warehouse non clerical work and clerical work of logistics division, there are still a lot of cases where business processes have not been improved for more than 10 years like a paper-based work instructions and non-standardized business processes. Our mission is to improve them dramatically by introducing advanced IT technology for future.
- Logistics planning department suggests solutions to the warehouse operation team based on the result of scientific analysis by using BI tools or special analytics tools. And Logistics planning department supports implementation the best solution with or without material handling equipment based on the customer’s requirements operational requirements.
- Achievement on the job in logistics planning department will be evaluated based on the amount of reduction costs or the amount of incrementation of revenue by new initiatives.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor's Degree
Technical Skills and Prior Experience
- At least 10 years supervisory experience for warehouse operation in Logistics company.
- Have sufficient knowledge and experience in logistics business and operations.
- Must be IT proficient and able to thrive in a fast pace setting. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Word.
- Project management experiences and skills are required since the logistics planning department plans a project schedule considering with the priority, importance, deadline and man-hour required for whole project period. And also, the team is required to execute several projects simultaneously with colleagues of Nippon Express group.
- Has a deep understanding of the Japanese target market and company culture.
- Ability to work effectively with our Japanese partners, respecting and understanding their work ethics and business customs.
