About the role
The Device team in TPC aims to develop the category management strategy, steering the implementation towards procurement and supply chain operations for devices and essential products in the end to end value chain of Telenor Markets. The category has a significant financial impact in Telenor’s total spend and it is crucial to enable Telenor’s strategic ambition for growth.
Main Responsibility
As Senior Manager Device Category Management, you report to the Director of the category and work closely with internal Device teams, Suppliers and Business Stakeholders at executive C-level within the Telenor Business Units. You will lead Telenor markets to ensure we are able to capture opportunities for value creation and growth leveraging from a more strategic approach and relationship with suppliers in the landscape of devices.
Main Tasks:
• Own the performance and value creation of the category, including strategic, operational and financial targets.
• Co-Develop Device Category Strategy with Telenor Business units, outlining opportunity assessment, supplier strategy, procurement pipeline of initiativies and expected business impact / outcome for Telenor.
• Deliver the strategic and operational plan to facilitate category execution and commercial operations across targeted categories and brands
• Build, own and develop business relationship with stakeholders with Telenor Markets in Group Function facilitating organizational alignment and cooperation
• Conduct end-to-end contract management activities along the contract life cycle management, to unlocke value creation and migitate leakage while coordinating local contract execution.
• Lead the supplier relationship co-developing the commercial strategy across Telenor in cooperation with Business Units .
Profile
To succeed in this role it is preferred to have a global procurement background with commercial acumen and operational background on any of the following industries Telecommunication, Technology, FMCG and manufacturing. As most of your internal and external stakeholders will span across the Nordic and Asian markets, you will need to be able to communicate effectively with all relevant stakeholders.
To enjoy this role and succeed in it, you need to have :
· Proven track record in managing procurement of Devices, or coming from a device sales & marketing background
· Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills
· Ability to lead initiatives, influence decisions and build strong professional relationships.
Qualification and Education Requirements
• Minimum 7-8 years’ relevant experience in scope of procurement and category management, particularly within the Telcommunication or Technology Sector
• Minimum Bachelor degree qualification, preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or Business Management.
Experience within the Nordic region would be a valuable addition.
