· Employee management in area of responsibility
· Ensure labour levels meet planned requirements
· Set and monitor department objectives for functional area
· Carry out quarterly and annual Performance reviews for direct reports
· Form a training and development plan for direct reports
· Give general and specific direction to Supervision in order to meet short term and long term goals
· Support company teaming initiative
· Prepares the manufacturing team to execute strategic company objectives
· Provide timely performance reporting and analysis to multiple levels of Maple Operations leadership
· Share finance best practices across plants/corporate/function
· Anticipate, produce, deliver, and communicate actionable business and financial information
· Participate in evaluating, monitoring and insuring effective operation of internal controls and disclosure controls
· Recruits, trains, develops, rewards and recognizes personnel to achieve targeted strategies and goals
· Assists in new product launches, production and engineering improvements, product testing
· Develops strategic plans and objectives in accordance with overall Plant and Division strategy
· Works closely with peer Plant and Division personnel to develop plans/focus to assure continuous improvements that will benefit Operations
· Lead and facilitate monthly safety meetings and lead/assist in the resolution of safety items
· Able to work on weekend and public holiday
