Procurement Management:
- Continuously evaluate opportunities for cost reduction while ensuring that goods are sourced efficiently and at market-aligned prices to maximize business value.
- Lead accurate demand forecasting in collaboration with sales and marketing teams, maintaining clear communication on forecasts, inventory estimates, supply status, and risk mitigation plans.
- Analyze sales trends and influencing factors to inform forecasting and inventory planning decisions.
- Implement spending controls to promote long-term savings on procurement costs.
Strategic Sourcing & Leadership:
- Establish productive partnerships with key suppliers for food/beverage raw materials, ingredients, and packaging to fulfill business requirements.
- Work closely with sales and marketing to develop and execute strategic initiatives that support growth and profitability objectives.
- Provide coaching to team members to enhance their skills and foster their career development.
Policies, SOPs, Business Systems:
- Act as the primary expert in procurement and planning, developing relevant policies and procedures.
- Oversee the purchasing system, Costpoint, and provide strategic guidance on procurement actions, approval processes, and tracking of purchase requests and orders.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure procurement practices align with corporate standards.
Compliance Management:
- Stay updated on import/export regulations and train staff to ensure compliance.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in FMCG, with a focus on meat/cheese/cold products.
- Proven ability to manage significant cost of goods and achieve cost savings.
- Effective leadership skills with a talent for guiding team members in accurate forecasting and inventory management.
- Strong decision-making and multitasking abilities.
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration and delivering results as a team player and mentor.
- Solid business acumen, adaptable mindset, and adeptness in managing relationships across the organization and with suppliers.
