Our client, a Japanese Gas Company based in Singapore, is looking for an HR Manager to join their expanding team. This is a sole contributor role as the person in charge of all HR-related operations for a workforce of 40 employees spread across both corporate office and production facilities, as well as higher level HR decision-making to improve business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with company objectives and local regulations
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees
- Conduct salary benchmarking and analysis to ensure competitive compensation packages are offered to attract and retain top talent
- Design and administer employee benefits programs to increase retention and reduce attrition
- Partner with department heads to identify training and development needs, and create career development plans for employees
- Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee feedback mechanisms
- Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances
- Stay updated on labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance with local employment laws
- Handle payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits
- Maintain HR records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality
Job Requirements:
- At least 5-8 years of experience in the full spectrum of HR and a strategic capacity
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations in Singapore
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR policies and procedures
- Prior experience in designing and administering employee benefits programs
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
