Principal / Master R&D Firmware Engineer (Power Electronics)

Lite-on Singapore Pte. Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop embedded software/firmware for switched-mode power supplies and battery chargers.
  • Prepare code for digital control of power supply/charger, housekeeping functions, and communication.
  • Adjust and optimize controller parameters to improve power supply performance.
  • Work with the hardware team to meet customer requirements.
  • Liaise with multiple parties – customer, factory, and internal/external stakeholders for successful product delivery.
  • Good communication skills to ensure effective collaboration within a diverse team.
  • All experience levels are welcome – job grade and salary will be commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of power electronics topologies and design – flyback, boost PFC, LLC, PSFB
  • Ability to perform digital control of power electronics and other housekeeping functions.
  • Proficient in C/C++, MATLAB, Python
  • Experienced in CC/CV mode control.
  • Code ancillary functions such as power supply protection, calibration, timing requirements
  • Comfortable with digital controllers and DSPs from major vendors
  • Basic hardware test ability to perform independent debugging.
  • Familiar with automotive communication protocols, e.g. CANbus, OCPP
  • The following skillsets are not necessary but will be an added advantage:
  • Familiar with automatic test systems
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Ability to converse in Mandarin to liaise with HQ.
