Description:
- To provide supervision services to ensure the Contractors complies with the contract requirements and/or authorities’ requirements;
- To provide professional engineering services for reviews which shall include variation works;
- To review all drawings and specifications, and highlight any discrepancies, non-workable and/or missing details to authority and the Qualified Person (Design) [QP(D)] in a timely manner;
- To provide all relevant endorsements required by authority, BCA, other statutory authorities and agencies;
- To supervise all works or as directed by authority;
- To provide personnel and ensure all site supervision services are carried out efficiently and professionally;
- Any other professional engineering service and other services as set out in the scope of Services in this Tender and or as may be reasonably inferred; and
- Monitor safety and health including taking photos of unsafe acts and conditions and bringing to the authority attention.
Requirement:
- The RTO-M&E shall have minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience as a RTO, of which at least five (5) years shall be on site in supervision of works similar in nature to major construction works in utility diversion works, services laying and testing commissioning
- RTO (M&E) shall be conversant in reading construction drawing and specifications. He must also possess abilities to keep good records of documents for future reference.
- The RTO (M&E) shall possess skills for understanding the whole works sequence, fully understand the impact, to supervise the site works effectively and highlight to the next level, to avoid abortive works.
- Due to the nature of services laying and diversion works, working hours may not be normal working hours or days. The RTO (M&E) is expected to be deployed for work, beyond and/or on non-normal working hours or days, to fulfill the works requirement.
- The RTO-M&E shall minimum possess a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized Polytechnic or equivalent; he must also minimum possess WSH certification and ensure the works are carried out safely.
