Job Description
A senior post-doctoral position with more than 3 years post Ph.D experience in Biomedical research. Candidate should ideally have cancer biology background with expertise in mitochondrial biology and cellular apoptosis. A suitable and successful candidate will be given the responsibility to design and conduct experiments with specific abilities in cell death and apoptosis using various quantitative and functional assays. The candidate should be available to commence as soon as possible.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in functional genomics/precision oncology approaches to work on resistant models of lung cancers to identify mechanism(s) of resistance in resistant models of lung cancers.
- Experience with the development of functional assays for phenotypic screening, involving the use of high-throughput flow cytometry, high-content drug screening, and large scale data analysis.
- Willingness to pick up mentorship position for Ph.D students and junior members.
- Previous experience with handling and analysing human clinical samples will be preferred.
- A Ph.D in cancer biology (>3 years)
- Strong track record of research achievement supported by high-quality publications in relevant field (BCL-2 and cell death biology).
- Skills in hands-on use of relevant research methods.
- Able to work independently, with strong problem-solving ability.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with a strong track record of presentations at international conferences.
