They offer a comprehensive array of services encompassing the protection, commercialization, enforcement, and management of various types of intellectual property, such as patents, trademarks, and designs.


Responsibilities


As a Regional IT Support Specialist, he/she will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems in the Asia offices. This position will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to enhance the overall IT infrastructure of the organization. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.


The incumbent sits in a regional IT team of 11 headcounts who are based across Asia. This position reports to the IT Operations Manager (based in Singapore) and will be expected to handle approx. 250 end-users regionally, in which about 130 of them are based in Singapore.


Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:


Technical Support:

  • Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users within the region.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, resolving them efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the central IT team to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.

System Maintenance:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and updates to ensure the stability and security of IT systems.
  • Monitor system performance and take proactive measures to address potential issues.

IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Manage and maintain local IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and peripherals.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure seamless operation of IT systems.

Documentation:

  • Create and update documentation for IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets within the region.


The Successful Candidate

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science
  • Minimally 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Experienced in Wintel, IT operational & helpdesk processes and infrastructure maintenance
  • Experienced in Microsoft 365, Cloud and Virtualization technology (VMware)
  • Knowledge in ITIL processes and best practices
  • As this role may at times work closely with the office in greater China, experience working within this region and proficiency in Mandarin language skills will be required to liaise with native mandarin speaking stakeholders
  • An independent worker, at the same being able to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence and manage relationships with stakeholders across all levels
